Free bikes for young people second year running.

Having worked on the delivery of what’s been dubbed the “Access to Bikes” project from it’s inception, Co-Founder of TnC Tim applied for funding to deliver this project in 2024 as the fund went public.

2024 saw Tyred n Cranky deliver 50 bikes to primary and secondary age children across neighbouring Moray. The success of the project was largely down to partnership working with other organisations already established in the area, but who did not have capacity to deliver the project themselves. Thanks to Active Schools Moray, Outfit moray, and Peoplehood.

So for 2025 we’ve been awarded the fund again, albeit this time to deliver the project throughout Aberdeenshire, working in partnership with the Sustrans I-Bike project working primarily in the Oldmeldrum cluster.
